Mission Statement

The Ukrainian Centennial Committee of Calgary, a charitable organization established in 1967, Canada’s Centennial Year, has since its inception strived to promote and encourage Ukrainian studies both, at the University of Calgary and at other institutions of learning, by granting its monetary awards, in various amounts to Calgary students who have completed Ukrainian course(s) offered at these schools. These awards were listed in the University of Calgary Awards Calendar and in the list of Alberta Ukrainian Correspondence Courses. To those students who qualify, we would grant, also in the current year, our award(s). To be eligbile the applicant must be a student who has completed a credit course (high school or university level) in Ukrainian language or Ukrainian-related subject during the last twelve months.
