About me

My name is Eric Goodwin and I currently teach Math 7, French 8 & 9, Robotics Jr. & Sr. High, Health 9 and Media Design Jr. High at Sexsmith Secondary. Before Sexsmith, I taught Computers & Technology, Photography & Robotics at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Grande Prairie.

I was very interested in the field of Computer Science and French while attending Acadia University. I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in French in 2012 and furthered my education by pursuing a second degree. I completed a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in 2014, specializing in both French and Technology.

I am originally from a very small town on the south western part of Nova Scotia. It is called Cape Sable Island. It is approximately 3 hours away from the city of Halifax. It is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The main town is Barrington which is the Lobster Capital of Canada.

I am very involved with Skills Alberta and have mentored students in 2-D Animation, TV/Video, Robotics, Photography, Graphic Design, IT Network Systems Administration, IT Software Solutions for Business, and Workplace Safety.

I wish you all the best in your studies - God bless!
