Aug 23 - Aug 29, 2009: An epic 7-day, 110km Rockies Traverse through 2 mountain parks (Assiniboine and Banff). Lots photos and an extensive trip report.
June 28 - July 1, 2008: A beautiful multiday trip to Cathedral Lakes Park in the Okanagan with Jodi and some of our friends, with photos.
May 19, 2008: A warm and sunny (mostly) kayak trip up Sechelt Inlet to Narrows Inlet, with photos.
Mar 30, 2008: Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted a trip report. Not that there haven't been cool trips... when I get a chance I want to post photos from Tricouni, Cheam Peak, Smith Rock, and Red Heather. But for now, here's some backcountry skiing photos from Brew Hut.
Oct 8, 2007: I finally got a bit of spare time and did a trip report for the West Coast Trail, complete with spectacular photos! I'm hoping to put up some photos from Tricouni and Cheam next because they were pretty cool too.
Sept 10, 2007: It's been a VERY busy summer of hiking, despite the rainy weather in Vancouver. I've been outdoors hiking so I haven't had a chance to post any photos until now, but here's a great one: my brother and I did a week-long trip to the Canadian Rockies at the start of August. Highlights included a 3-day trip to Mt Assiniboine, paddling on Moraine Lake, and a dayhike in the Lake Louise area. Check out the two-part trip report: Part 1, Part 2. Lots of other photos still to be posted once the weather gets a little more rainy, but the most exciting was a 7-day trip on the West Coast Trail! But the weather's still great for September hiking...
July 21, 2007: Two exciting trips from the last two weekends! On July 7/8, Jodi and I went to Manning Park and hiked up First Brother. On Jul 14/15, me and 6 friends went to Mayne Island for a kayak trip around Saturna Island.
July 2, 2007: I finally got around to writing a short report for the Lynn Peak hike. Also on the Canada Day long weekend I did two other day hikes; Lindeman and Greendrop Lakes in Chilliwack with Jodi, and Gold Creek in Golden Ears Park with Mark. Summer is finally here!
June 2, 2007: Mark and I did an easy dayhike up Sumas Mountain in Chilliwack. It was a hot day and we had great views of the Fraser Valley into Hope.
May 24, 2007: I wrote a short report about my VOC Snowcaves trip from this January. I also posted a new panorama photo from Interlaken 2004.
May 7, 2007: I went up to Bowen Island with Mark last week for a great short hike. I also wrote up a few other older trip reports - Bald Hills and High Falls Creek.
May 3, 2007: A new article published on the Science Creative Quarterly, this time a non-serious one.
May 2, 2007: I wrote and posted a trip report for M Gurr Lake, a hike that I did last summer with Jodi in Bella Coola.
May 1, 2007: The new website is finished and ready for a summer's worth of trip reports! I've written a few outdoors trip reports from last summer - the Black Tusk, Stein Valley, and Indian Arm ones are my favourite. Also, all of my old Europe travelogues are still here, but with an improved layout. And finally I've posted a few of the more interesting pieces of writing that I've done over the past few years. The photos section is still under construction. Keep an eye on this page over the summer as I'll be posting any interesting trips that I go on.
