Denmark

August 2003

I flew into Copenhagen from Toronto, which turned out to be one of my favourite cities on the trip (Copenhagen, that is, not Toronto). There was lots to see, and the main pedestrian mall is just alive with street performers at dusk. Everything is really colourfully painted, too. After Copenhagen, I took a train and ferry to the island of Aero, and did some biking around there. It's a small island, and pretty flat, so you can cover a lot of ground. It's almost entirely powered by windmills. Next I moved on to Norway. (Fredriksborg Castle I saw when I came back to Copenhagen to fly home - Hillerod is about 30 minutes from Copenhagen).
