Enrique's Coin Trading Page
Hi - Hola!
My name is Enrique Waizel and I'm a Mexican-Canadian coin collector.
Please visit my list of doubles.
Get it in Excel Format.
If you're interested, you can also browse my collection.
This is my list of good traders.
If you want to contact me, please email at:
I collect coins in order to get a small sample of the diversity of
people and cultures in this planet.
I like coins that normal people use in real life to trade.
If you are interested, you can test coincomp which is the tool I wrote and use to compare 2 lists of coins
you can download the MS Windows Executable.
or the MS Visual C++ source file.
Usage: coincomp my_list.txt his-her_list.txt
Lists most be in TAB delimited text format
1st column is the country name in English
2nd column is the KM/Y#
Text file Sample:
Afganistan 953
Albania 76
Argentina 35
etc.
There is nothing like a real example
Download my collection list in text format: enrique.txt.
and a friend's doubles list: friend.txt.
then run it from your computer: coincomp enrique.txt friend.txt
A file named friendenrique.txt will be created showing all the coins I don't have and I would like to swap with this friend.
Some comments / recommendations to consider when trading with me:
I typically focus on sending the right Km/Y# catalog number. If you need a specific year, please let me know.
Try to create your swap list in a way that can be easily imported and analyzed by a program. Use tab or comma delimited files or Excel. Clearly group different elements in different columns (Country, Denomination, Km number, Comment, Grade, Value). Use English as the standard for country names and include these in every row.
To make this fair, I like to swap coins based on the Krause catalog value.
When sending coins try not to stick tape directly on top of the coin. Try to use a thin plastic or paper layer to wrap the coin first.
Canadian customs enjoy charging me taxes. Try to include in the envelope the text: No Commercial Value.
I would like to send coins by registered mail. Nevertheless, Canada Post recently changed the rules and only letters 500 grms or less are allowed to be sent registered. If this is a heavy swap, I have no alternative but to send coins by normal mail. I am open to receive coins by normal mail to make this fair.
