The Eye2Buy Technology Company was founded in
Redmond, Washington and maintained offices in Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver. Its
proprietary technology, features the following characteristics:
|
|
Platform-neutral - The Eye2Buy
process is essentially infraware (infrastructure application rendered in software) that
allows for any content (video, films, TV shows, etc.) to be encoded one time, either during
post- production or while waiting for distribution. Once encoded the programming
seamlessly operates within any middleware/hardware combination due to its flexible and
adaptable design. It is important to note that due to industry consolidation many existing
cable systems are an amalgamation of set top boxes, hardware, and head end infrastructure.
Eye2Buy technology was designed to service such an amalgamated system
simultaneously, efficiently, and simply.
|
Viewer Participation with todays
technology - Eye2Buy technology does not depend on modified head-end
infrastructure, special set-top boxes, chip-sets or new remote controls. The easiest and
most efficient way to connect the "last ten feet" between the viewer and his/her
TV is to use what is in the house and in the viewer's hands
now. Once a pattern of
interactive communication is started between the audience and the TV (producer,
programmer, advertiser, sponsor) then a flow of consistent revenue will begin.
|
 |
 |
Standards-compliant - Eye2Buy is
currently available on all the major industry platforms, including, ATVEF, ATVF, OpenTV,
DVB/MHP and Open Cable. The software was planned, designed, and written to be backwards
and forwards compatible with any middleware/hardware infrastructure.
|
Minimal bandwidth
- Eye2Buy technology was created to allow producers to continually change the
interactive portions of their programming over time, without incurring the expense of
re-encoding master tapes and films. All the required interactivity comes from a remote
desktop. The interactive components of a program can be planned by producers in advance or
programmed "on-the-fly". These programming decisions can be made from a simple
keyboard at the producers office at anytime the programming is going to be viewed.
Eye2Buy does not push interactive content through the broadcast signal. Once
Eye2Buy's proprietary infraware is loaded onto any home, cable or satellite box by the
System Operator, the box detects when the viewer requests interactivity. Then the
interactive components are pulled from a remote desktop or server. This gives producers
the ability to constantly refresh the interactive parts of any program with extremely low
bandwidth requirements.
