How To Care For CoffeeHouse Plants
How To Care for your Coffee Plant
Taking care of a coffee plant has to be one of the hardest plants to keep healthy. Coffee plants do not tolerate changes in temperature or watering habits very well. Too dry or too wet will result in the leaves yellowing and dropping of the leaves. Use a larger pot to help keep the envirorment constant. I use a pot eleven inches by eleven inches. Use regular potting soil and place in a westward location; coffee plants do not like direct morning and midday sun. Water every Monday and Friday with 21 Oz. of filtered water. During Winter, add one extra glass of water because of the drier air. Place a note on a branch or near the pot to remind yourself on the watering days. Miss one day and you start all over again. A coffee plant does not like to be isolated, but enjoys human company. Just like us, the coffee plant enjoys the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, therefore a kitchen location is a good choice.
