Chocolate Square Old Fashioned Recipe

Chocolate Square Recipe
This chocolate square recipe has originated from time past.

Ingredients
1 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups shredded coconut
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup eagle brand milk
Mix together butter, sugar, flour, cocoa, vanilla and eggs
Place in a 9x13 inch greased pan.
Place 4 cups shredded coconut in a bowl. Add one cup eagle brand milk.
Mix and spread over the chocolate mixture.
Bake 20-25 minutes in a 350 degree oven until coconut is slightly brown.
When cool, ice with chocolate icing, recipe below.
Cut into small squares.
Chocolate Butter Icing
1/3 cup butter
2 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate (cool)
2 cups confectioers sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
Mix the butter and cooled chocolate thoroughly
Blend in sugar
Stir in vanilla and milk
beat until icing is smooth and of spreading consistency
