Truck Beds

Truck beds take quite the beating over time. Heavy, coarse, sharp objects
are tossed into truck beds, add bumpy roads and the box really takes a beating.
As paint chips off, water gets in, and rust takes place.
Protective coating does exactly what the words express.Paint On Protection

V.O.C. paint on protection, provides lasting protection against impact, rust, and corrosion. The non porous product is a durable black coating, that requires no primer before application. The product is user friendly, and can be built up to any thickness. The product provides lasting protection against damage, while enhancing the appearance of the truck, and truck bed.

Truck Bed Paint On Coating Instructions

Pick a sunny day.
Remove everything out of the truck box, power wash, use soap and water, scrub
any oily spots until clean.
Let completely dry, use masking tape and tape where you need clean lines, such as if you do
the top rails.
Pick out any loose paint chips, scrape, or sand away any rust spots.

For a mid size truck you need two cans of 2.6 V.O.C. Truck Bed Protective coating (946 ml times two)
Open the can and stir well, once opened the whole can needs to be used up.
One can is enough to do one coat. With the first coat, just paint the product on,
If you have painted the entire truck box and there is some product left in the can, do a double
coat where there is more wear, use the entire can.
The masking tape needs to be removed while the product is still sticky, new tape will be
applied again for the second coat. Best to put a day between the first and second coat.
The texture is added with the second coat.

Second Paint On Coat

Masking tape your lines.
The second coat is applied the same as the first, but this time a small paint roller
is used to add texture. Apply the product with a paint brush, and follow up with
the paint roller over the surface, the roller will bring up the texture as you roll.
The more dry the product is, when rolled, the greater the texture effect.
settle for something between a little and lots of texture.
The texture effect shrinks somewhat as it dries, so it should look a little bolder,
when applied, than the finished look you want.
Remove masking tape while product is still sticky.
If chance of rain, park vehicle under carport.
