Got'em by the Shorthairs Shows Stavely how it's done

Sure is was all for a good cause. The Stavely Elks hosted the 2nd annual Stavely Pheasant Derby in November. 2 days of socializing and hunting were sure to test the strength of 6 men, 12 dogs, and 50 pheasants. While only 23 birds were recovered by the team, we stand by the statement that it was our intention to ensure enough birds escaped the buckshot to further strengthen the wild bird populations in the area. Even still, we managed to recover the prized purple leg band worth entry to the draw for a $4000 cash. Sure, we didn't win much prize money, only $250 for the "longest cock" award......tail feathers that is. We're sure to be back next year to show them how it's done.
