Traveling, spending time, moving toward an uncertainty is a necessity, notwithstanding any edifying encumbrance. Passage through the pavilions of visual culture ever caroms up against this very uncertainty, embraces/disses all in its wake. Of the made systems that present media, and make resolved the rush and swell of static frames and rhythms of frames of images, none are too empathic. Yet none are indivisibly unique, relying upon tristimulus points of hue and retinal memory. How in this space of vision are we to best experience all that is to be seen by the finest senses? (conduit for the new millennium) belongs to a series of works that offer a diversity to the physical modalities and spectral variation possible in colour media. Suggesting by dithering between what we may recognize and what is other, in terms of excluded/conflated elements, broadly ranging arenas of representation are courted. Blended states of the rendered hues/images are allowed to flow through single, or multiple bead-curtain layers of transparent tubing. Sudden recognition is followed by disorder, is spent in a chaos of pigment.
