is a collecting. A row of 108 headphones admits the remote presence
of a wide range of collected sonic ephemera. Each remote sound
source is acknowledged in the continual realtime stream of audio to
station. The spontaneuously occurring events being collected
are delivered to the station signal processors from remote locations
by internet connections. A printed sonic
map provides details on the specific nature and collecting method
for each source. Remote participants
may listen to the collected streams in an online sonic map, and seek technical support from station
throughout project development. All eighteen selected station
project participants collect
natural sonic ephemera.
