"three
needle pine" responds to the essence of the ponderosa pine tree, the bed
of needles beneath it, its bleeding pitch, and the resin the tree emits
into the air. Dehiscent seed pods splayed by heat, and the rich
clouds of pollen delivered from trees in the wind, are added to this examination
of an allegory for what is a childhood memory.
Example
of pattern of seeds dispersed ballistically from a single adult
Viola papilionacea in the greenhouse.
