Introduction

Recreational folk dancing is great exercise, relaxing, educational and fun. It is one of those rare activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Since 1997, Calgary Israeli Folkdancing has been teaching Modern Israeli Folkdances. Our current selection consists of over 60 dances taught by instructors who donate their time, expertise and enthusiasm for folk dancing.

Anyone can learn to folk dance. No special training is required; just wear comfortable non-floor marking shoes. You don't even need to bring a partner. Come out for a night of dancing and meet a new group of friends.
