February:
The 15th Annual Victoria Film Festival happens from January 30 to February 8, 2009.
March:
Victoria's annual Be a Tourist in Your Own Home Town is scheduled for the end of the winter. This special 5 day event from February 27 - March 2, 2008 allows resident Victorians the opportunity to become tourists in their home town. It is not limited to only those who reside in Victoria, but is open to all. Should you consider visiting Victoria during the off season, this is a great time of the year to plan a visit to the "City of Gardens".
June:
The 24th annual Jazzfest International 2008 is among the biggest and best music festivals on Vancouver Island and can be counted on to impress Jazz and Soul fans each and every year. June 20 to June 29, 2008.
The Tall Ships Victoria 2008 returns to Victoria after a 3 year absence from June 26th to June 29th, 2008.
July:
Walk the spectacular Gorge Waterway on July 5, 2008, and enjoy musical entertainment along with over 45 artists displaying and selling their arts and crafts at the Gorge on Art.
August:
The 19th annual Symphony Splash is featured during the BC Day long weekend on Sunday August 3, 2008. This event occurs at Victoria's Inner Harbour. The musicians play a selection of classics and pops for crowds of up to 40,000! The finale features Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture accompanied by fireworks.
The 14th Annual Victoria Dragon Boat Festival takes place on August 15, 16 & 17, 2008. This colorful and popular event offers something for everyone.
A celebration of our maritime heritage takes place at the Classic Boat Festival in the inner harbour on August 29, 30 & 31, 2008 with up to 100 classic sail and power boats from the Pacific Coast and beyond participating.
September:
Hop along to the....141th Saanich Fair on August 30, 31 & September 1, 2008.
The 16th annual Great Canadian Beer Festival takes place on September 5 & 6, 2008.
The 4th annual Cowichan Wine & Culinary Festival is being staged on September 20 & 21, 2008 to celebrate British Columbia's fastest growing wine region.
October:
The Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend takes place from October 11 - 13, 2008.
The Royal Victoria Marathon is scheduled for October 12, 2008. This marathon is listed as one of the Top 10 destination Marathons in North America by "Runners World" magazine.
November:
The 2007 Festival of Trees kicks off for another year on November 20, 2007 and runs through to January 7, 2008.
The Out of Hand Christmas Craft Fair takes place from November 20 through to November 23, 2008.
December:
A Touch Saltspring Christmas Show is occurring on December 5, 6 & 7, 2008.
The Magical Dark Show is occurring from December 5th to the 7th, 2008.
The 20th Annual Navy Lighting Contest in support of the Mustard Seed Food Bank takes place from December 13 through to December 24.
