Note that the lead projectiles are easily seated in the expanded mouth of the adapter and should NEVER be allowed to enter the powder cavity.

In selecting the .22 caliber power load blanks suitable for your rifle and your needs, some experimentation is suggested. Since this cartridge adapter is intended for short range shooting with reduced velocity and noise (report), it is recommended that only #1 Gray or #2 Brown or Red blanks be used to avoid expanding the neck and allowing future bullets when inserted to enter the powder cavity. The following data on projectile velocities (see Projectile Velocities above) for the Hammond Game Getter (as measured on a variety of rifles) are intended for your information.
