At low velocities, projectile lubrication is optional and leading of your barrel should not be a problem.

*Note: Using the more powerful blanks (e.g., Remington Stud Driver Power Loads #4 or equivalent) and lead projectiles without gas checks (copper disc) leading may be a problem. Consequently, if you intend to use your cartridge adapter with powerful blanks it is recommended that lubricated lead bullets with gas checks be used and case neck expansion checked after repeated use to ensure the projectile does not enter the powder cavity when seated.
