Prime focus photography
Here is a sample of the Prime focus method. The camera is attached to the back of the scope with a T adapter & T ring. No eyepiece is used, just camera and scope tube.
A prime focus picture of a downtown building and the same area with just the camera... the yellow boxed area is where the building is.

A Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope for both space & terrestrial viewing. When hooked to a camera can give extreme high power close up pictures.I do not have this scope anymore, I liked it very much but have now moved up to a Celestar 8

Tele-Extender 
T- Adapter
T-Ring
The Tele-Extender is used for photographing a planet. You keep
a eyepiece in the telescope and connect the camera with
a T-ring, use a cable release on the camera so it does not shake.
The T-Adapter with T-ring is used for prime focus photography. No eyepiece
is used in the scope the camera is hooked
directly to the back of the scope via the adapter for pictures stronger then
all or most camera lenses. But not as
strong as with tele-extender/eyepiece method.

With this devise I can easily hook my Digital camera or Camcorder to my scope for "fun shots".
