Died on his return visit from England in a plan crash in Isspudun,Quebec. All seventy-nine people were killed when the plan was hit by lightning and crashed into a bog. No remains were identified, parts of bodies to fill thirteen coffins were buried in Prospect Cemetery. As this was a Canadian Legion trip an epitaph was erected to their memory.The crash was front page news in all major newspapers. Months later articles were brought to the Toronto city hall for identification.
