MARAIS, Viola M. (nee Carpenter) -- On a beautiful sunny day, surrounded by her family, Viola passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of the Toronto Rehab Institute, on Friday, September 8, 2006. Loving mother of Maryka, Anne-Marie and son-in-law Jeff, and wife of the late Francois. Loving GaGa (Grandmama) to Mayva and Sarah. Dear daughter of the late Mary and Jack and loving sister to Anne, the late John and Mary. Friends will be received one hour prior to the Service of Remembrance on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway. As this is the celebration of Viola's life, we request that no black be worn to the celebration. Viola and family would like to thank the staff of the St. Joseph's Health Centre and the incredible staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Toronto Rehab Institute.
