No 1851 census record in Devonshire found to verify Emma's birth year. I have believed for some time that Emma was actually born in 1835 and at Bishops Nympton not 1845 and at Plymouth. There is an 1851 census record to match these details. However until access to the Parish Records can be obtained this can not be proven. Emma's birth date was supplied by Ian Poole who said he had the family bible.
