Having commended my soul to the Ever blessed God in Expectation of Eternal Life from his rich Mercy through the alone meritts of my blessed Redeemer I hereby order my Body to be privately buried if I dye in or near London near the sacred Dust of my dear and Reverend Father.
The Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with being all Chattle I dispose of after the following manner.
Imprimis. I will and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Four hundred pounds per Ann during her natural Life to be paid her out of the following Funds. An Annuity of an Hundred pound a Year on the General Excise granted in the Year 1704. One hundred Sixty Eight pounds a Year being the Interest of Two thousand Eight hundred pounds lent to S'r Charles Hoghton on a Mortgage. Fifty pounds a Year the Interest of a Thousand pounds lent my honoured Father Foley on Bond the Rest to be made up out of the yearly produce of my Stock in the United East India Company.
Item. I bequeath to her all my Plate and Jewells to be disposed of as she shall think fitt and the use of all my Household Goods Excepting what is in the Study without being chargeable with loss or waste and at her decease to be disposed of among our Children as she shall think fitt Excepting the Family Pictures which I will and bequeath after her decease to my Eldest Son John Howe And in case of his decease before he come to be of Age to my Son Philip and in case of his decease before he come to be of Age to my Daughters Penelope and Latitia Howe.
Item. I bequeath to my said Wife my Coach and Horses.

Item. To my Eldest Son John Howe all my Estate not devised by this my Will after Debts and Funeral charges paid Also all my books and furniture of my Study unless my Son Philip follow some learned Profession Divinity Physick or Law in which case I devise to him Books to the Value of an Hundred pounds to be chosen for him out of my Study by my Brother James Howe and apprised by some able Bookseller.
And of this my last and only Will and Testament I appoint my dear Wife and Brother James Howe joint Executors and joint Trustees for my Children during their Nonage if my Wife remain unmarried But upon her Marriage I will that the whole Trust for the Children devolve on my Brother James Howe.
