Information from Eileen Cooper, 2009:Maurice worked for a firm called Dawsons who made the famous "Bath chair." He must have been a very skilled carpenter because these wheelchairs were works of art.

DUNFORD, Garnet & Eva (Sharp)
Garnet, son of George and Julia Dunford was born in Russell MB March 28, 1906 and later moved to the Ormside district. He attended Goldbank School. Garnet married Eva Sharp November 12, 1936 in Sturgis. They lived and farmed with the Sharps on the homestead. The farm approximately 10 miles north of Sturgis, was called Roseland Farm. Garnet was a hard working man and a great father. Lyle, their son, was born August 5, 1938 in Canora, SK., Bernice on June 21, 1941 in Preeceville and Donna on November 13, 1943 in Preeceville. Lyle and Benice went to school at Cavell and the three children attended West Ajax after Cavell burnt. When Lyle was in Grade 9 they all lived in Sturgis attending Sturgis Elementary and all graduated from Sturgis Composite High School. Lyle worked for the C.N.R. as a station agent. He had one son Donald born in 1969 at Sioux Lookout, ON. Lyle was killed October 17, 1985 at age 47 while piloting his own plane. Bernice took training in Weyburn, SK, and became a psychiatric nurse. She moved to B.C. and married Jim Frey. She continues her work in the nursing field in Fort St. John. Their daughter Laurel was born in 1966. She married Al Letourneau, they have 3 boys. Ryan was born in 1988, Bradley in 1990 and Tyler in 1993. Donna worked at Sask Power in Regina, she married Edward Kennedy from Lintlaw. They reside on the Kennedy farm near Lintlaw. She has 4 boys, John born 1964, married Trudy Johnson in 1989 and has one son Kieran born in 1996. Clayton was born in 1966. Bradley was born in 1968 and married Kim Kiland in 1994 and Robert was born in 1971. Garnet and Eva continued to farm until the late 60s and then retired to Sturgis. Garnet died February 4, 1975 at age 68. Eva married Dave Rhodes in 1977. Dave died December 12, 1992. Now in the year 1999 Eva continues to live in her own home in Sturgis.
