In the name of God Amen I Rose Gregory of the parish of S't Andrews Holborne London widow being of perfect mind and memory praysed be Almighty God doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner following.

First and principally I yeild up my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and maker hopeing and stedfastly beleiving to have pardon and remission of all my sinnes through the only merits of Jesus Christ my onely saviour and redeemer And my body I comitt to the Earth whence it came to be decently buried.

And for such Estate as it hath pleased God to give me I dispose of it as followeth.

First I doe give and bequeath unto my Grandchild Sarah Baker one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her att her day of Marriage or at the age of one and twenty yeares which of them shall first happen to be. I alsoe give and bequeath unto Cassandra Botre One other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds to be paid unto her in like manner. I alsoe give and bequeath unto John Botre one other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds to be paid unto him in like manner. I also give and bequeath unto John Baker one other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds to be paid unto him in like manner. I also give and bequeath unto Katherine Baker one other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds to be paid unto her in like manner. I also give and bequeath unto Mary Nicoll one other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds which I have already delivered into her fathers hands to be paid unto her in like manner. I also give and bequeath unto Sarah Nicoll one other of my Grandchildren the like sume of one hundred pounds to be paid unto her in like manner.

I also give and bequeath unto my good freind M'r Robert Pargiter of Northamptonshire gent And to M'r William Pargiter his oldest sonne Each of them twenty pounds a piece to buy them and their wifes mourning. I alsoe give and bequeath unto M'r Knowles my Partner Forty shillings. I alsoe give and bequeath unto M'rs Somer the wife of M'r Richard Somer Forty shillings. I alsoe give and bequeath unto M'rs Faulconer twenty shillings piece of Gold. I alsoe give and bequeath unto M'r Gregory of this parish Forty shillings. I alsoe give and bequeath unto M'r Fowler my sonne Nicolls Servant the sume of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England.

I also give and bequeath unto the poore people of the parish of S't Andrews Holborne London Five pounds of like lawfull money. I alsoe give and bequeath unto the poore people of the same parish in the County of Middlesex the like sume of Five pounds of like money to be distributed by the Churchwardens of the same parish for the tyme being desireing them to have respect to the most needy. I alsoe give and bequeath unto the poore people in and about Fetter Lane of the same parish the sume of Three pounds of like money to be disposed of by my Executrix.

And as for such Leases of such houses and terme of yeares yet to come which I have to dispose of and not already settled and disposed of by my loveing husband John Gregory deceased situate and being in Fetter Lane ready money and goods (Except the severall parcells of plate which I have already given unto my Grandchild Cassandra Botre) I doe hereby give and bequeath the same unto my loveing daughter Sarah Nicoll whom I doe make and appoint Executrix of this my last will and Testament Shee faithfully paying and discharging my Legacies herein bequeathed and funeral Expences. And I doe hereby desire my loveinge freind Richard Somer gent to be overseer of this my last will and Testament and to assist my Executrix herein. And I doe give and bequeath unto him the said Richard Somer for his care and paines taken for me the sume of Twenty pounds of lawfull money of England.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale And doe publish this my last will and Testament (revoking all others) this Five and Twentieth day of October In the Sixteenth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles the Second Anno D'ni 1664. /
