Hi guys! Who is the webmaster behind this berry site? I guess if you made it here, then you are probably curious to know more about me. :)

My name is Ghislaine and I was born in the late 70's. My childhood years were spent being an 80's kid. I remember only owning 2 Strawberry Shortcake dolls as a kid. I had Strawberry Shortcake with Custard and Huckleberry Pie (I do not remember if I had Pupcake or not though). I also remember that at the daycare, they had a Strawberry Carry Case that I had always wanted. I still haven't gotten one of them yet through my recollecting of Strawberry Shortcake stuff. Maybe one day I'll find one again (I know there are lots on eBay).

I remember liking Strawberry Shortcake as a little girl. Unfortunately after a lot of moving around, I lost Strawberry Shortcake and Huckleberry Pie. The only item I still have from my childhood is the vinyl Custard. Then one day stumbled upon eBay and was looking at the toys section for fun. Somehow I found lots of Strawberry Shortcake items listed, and well I guess that's when I started to collect Strawberry Shortcake dolls again! I was hooked after the first few purchases...

When I sniff berry sweet smell of the dolls I have recollected, it reminds me of how much I loved my Strawberry Shortcake doll as a child. I had lots of other 80's toys, but for some kind of reason after all these years, this is the one particular item that I chose to collect again. If you took a whiff of the smell, you'd probably be captivated too! :)

I have only been collecting SSC stuff again since July 2001, but already I have a fairly nice collection (yes I am a tad bit proud of it!). Most of the dolls pictured on this site come from my very own collection.

Besides collecting SSC items, I do other things too. I work during the day as a software programmer and on weekends I am usually busy with many church activities. Other hobbies I have include raising a couple of dwarf hamsters, collecting Winnie-the-Pooh stuff, playing the guitar, and making webpages.

OK, I think I've said enough about me! (LOL.. this page is getting long!) So before I go, I'll share some 80's pictures of me below. Hope you had fun visiting the Berry Wonderful World of Strawberry Shortcake!

Here I am with my Godmum (my dad is reading the newspaper in the back) and I am holding my very first Cabbage Patch Kid. (I still have this doll today!)
