I was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan where I received a Bachelor of Arts. After a year at the School of Fine Arts in Montreal, I obtained a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Education from the University of Ottawa. I subsequently received a Specialist Certificate in Fine Arts from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario .
I have been a practicing artist for most of my life and was an art teacher in Ontario for the better part of 25 years.
As Head of the Fine Arts Department at Ecole secondaire Algonquin in North Bay, Ontario, I was responsible for the creation and management of the fine arts program. I was also the creator and director of an educational art gallery for a period of ten years.
In 1995, I took early retirement to work as a full time artist. I moved to Vernon, British Columbia and opened a studio where I paint, and teach interested students.
My work has been exhibited
in Ottawa, Sudbury, North Bay, Kelowna, Vernon, Grand Forks, Armstrong, and
Vancouver. My work is available for exhibit and sale.
