Home
Bio:

Pam has been a professional set designer for 25 years.  She has been the principal designer at the Vancouver Playhouse for eighteen seasons.   This coming season Pam will be designing Moonlight and Magnolias at the Vancouver Playhouse, Cinderella for Opera Calgary, and Summerfolk  for Studio 58

Other Design Credits:

Over 32 productions at the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre.  Three seasons designing set and costumes at the Shaw Festival.  Designs for The Globe, Canadian Stage, Magnus, Western Canada, The Citadel, the Belfry Theatre, MTC, Pacific Opera, Vancouver Opera, Touchstone, Tamahnous and The Arts Club Theatre. 

Awards:

Jessie Richardson Awards for; Lie of the Mind, The Miser, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Oleanna and Equus.  Pam won an IDI Award (Interior Design Institute) and a Capital Critics Award (Ottawa) for Coronation Voyage.  Monday Magazine Award for outstanding set design for Rough Magic at the Belfry Theatre.

Directing Credits:

Hot Flashes for Broad Minds, Ambushed for Origins, Fear Knot, Denis Anyone?, Worlds Greatest Guy, for the Arts Club Theatre.  The Joy of Six, and Cyberian Knights for the Women in View Festival.  The Turkey Basting Method for the Vancouver Fringe Festival.

General Info:

A founding member of Angry Actors Collective, co-wrote and performed in Famous Dead Stories; we just made up, a hit show at the 1997 Vancouver Fringe Festival.

Teaching Credits:

Pam is an instructor at Studio 58 and has been for the past 18 years.  She has taught several workshops with Backstage and for the 2002 BC Festival of the ArtsShe has taught at UBC and guest lectured at the Hull College of Art and Design in England.
