OSCILLOSCOPE WARRANTY TERMS
Pro-rated - In our terms, a pro-rated warranty retains 1/12 of the units value for each month remaining in the warranty. Our standard warranty is 30 days / 1 year pro-rated. That means that you can return the instrument within 30 days and get a refund of purchase price (not including shipping) less Paypal and eBay fees. After that, each month the value decreases by 1/12 from purchase date. Six months after date of purchase, the unit is worth 6/12, or 1/2, of its purchase price (less fees) on another instrument from our store.

Replacement warranty - for the small sum of $50 for 1 year, $100 for 2 years, the pro-rated warranty can be upgraded to full replacement warranty. This means that if your scope fails from natural causes (not abuse, our call) then we will send you a replacement unit of the same or better quality.

Abuse - cause for cancellation of all warranty. Electrical overload, dropping, damaged connectors, dents and physical damage to the case are some grounds. There are others.

Tampering - unauthorized access to innards of instrument. This is a no-no.

Excluded items:

547 high volltage power supplies
Probes
Cables, power cords, and connectors external to the instrument
Cases, covers and handles
2000 series fans and fan motors
Accessories supplied with the instrument such as viewing hoods.
Graticule lights, all models.

The crt in most instruments is covered for replacement for the first 3 months of use.

ALL WARRANTIES ARE AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED WHEN THE PURCHASER:

LEAVES FEEDBACK

AND

REPORTS BY EMAIL THAT THE ITEM HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

THIS INCLUDES BOTH THE 30-DAY RETURN AND 1 YEAR PRORATED WARRANTY.

NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS THESE CONDITIONS ARE MET. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS.
