I've been licensed as a ham operator since 1987. My first call sign was VE7HAR, chosen because it was easy to send in morse. I later discovered that it was the same as Kim Philby's initials. Which raised a few eyebrows when I renewed my military security clearance....

My current call sign is VE7MHJ.
