	In Memory of Wm Hindson of Mellguards, Who died Sept 20, 1825, aged 78 years Also Jane, his wife who died Dec 9, 1821, aged 70 years Also Margaret their daughter who died in 1825, aged 49 years Also Robert Hindson, grandson of Wm. and Jane Hindson died Oct 17, 1815, aged 2 years

-- This is the oldest legible stone in the Hesket churchyard. Stones here are made of sandstone and they do not weather well. Something should be done to protect and preserve this stone.
