The Faulders lived in a large stone house, now stuccoed, next door to the principle Hindson Family residence and the oldest building in the group. William #6 must have been fond of Jane. With all the sons he named her his sole executor, and left her a lot of his things, It is interesting to note that the day Joseph Faulder died is the same day that he made out his will. She must have been quite a girl. Robert was also a favorite since he got 50 pounds more.

Difficult to tell how much money was involved in the 1/8 share to the sons. No doubt they had already been given the business and other considerations. It is known that Peter lived for a long time in another stone house on the property, just to the south of the old family residence.

By 1851 William #6 was living with the Faulders, along with their children and a young cousin Francis Norman, aged 6.

The Faulders lived in a large stone house right next door to William #6. It was part of Mellguards and the Hindson property. Obviously, on the death of Ann he had turned his own house over to one of his sons' and moved in with Jane. Unfortunately, all the stone houses were stuccoed over, when stucco was the fashion in the 1920's.

The cottages that William #6 left to his just-widowed daughter were three small attached cottages at the front of the property. They are still there. One is called Rose Cottage
8 William Hindson Faulder  1840 d:Feb 25, 1864
Elizabeth Faulder b: Sep 21, 1842 d: May 31, 1912
Elizabeth married Isaac Holmes and they lived a great many years at Canal House, Kendall, Westmoreland.  n notes left by William (8th generation), he referred to Elizabeth as his "dear cousin" Elizabeth and Isaac had one son and three daughters.
