Clarence qualified for teacher's college,
attended the School of Infantry in Toronto, Sergeant 37th Battalion, appt
Notary Public, Haileybury Dec 9, 1908. For many years he was Chief and Park Ranger for the Tamagami District in Northern Ontario, at Bear island. Lilly Holmes was born in Gosport England Jan 31, 1872. She died in Petersburg Jan 6, 1949. When he retired he, (and Slim) bought a farm at Petersburg, 7 miles west of Kitchener. They called it Howfield Farm. Clarence and Lilly lived with Muriel and Slim at Howfield Farm, Petersburg until their deaths. |
