1992, thirty-three students have been promoted to Sho Dan
(Black Belt).
Students who received their
Junior Black Belt and who were subsequently promoted to Sho Dan are also shown in the list.

* Pat and Dave "were a product of the Hope Yama dojo as
far as training goes but were promoted by others who had
the rank for promotion. Pat Dagnino was promoted Sho Dan
on March 7,1996 [at Hope Yama Dojo] by Sensei Tom
McDonagh and Dave Hendricks was promoted at Sensei
Advincula's 50 years in the Martial arts celebration on
Oct 5, 1996 [at Shannon Coffee's dojo in Oceanside,
California] by Sensei Advincula himself."1
