The Girls

We have retired all of our breeding cats. Some we have placed in pet homes & some we have kept to enjoy ourselves. We will likely take our retirees out to shows now & again. We have placed some of our babies with trusted breeders so our lines will continue on & we look forward to hearing about the future generations.
We would be more than happy to refer anyone looking for a kitten to other breeders that we know & trust.

Our Retired Girls

Barbie

Registered name: Hopscotch Malibu Barbie
Birthdate: Feb 25, 2008
Color: Ruddy
Sire: RW SGC Hopscotch Runako Nalo
Dam: Ruddicat's Little Miss Daisy
Barbie is a real sweetheart. She just loves attention & likes going for rides in the car. She is very playful & seems to really like everyone. It seems that Barbie has inherited dad's spectacular temperment! Barbie has really great color, very warm & vibrant with tons of ticking. She is a really nice combination of traits from both parents.

Barbie isn't really retired, but has gone to Phoenix Abyssinians to make beautiful, affectionate, and outgoing babies for them.

Hottie

Registered name: CH Glendoveer Hot Pursuit of Hopscotch
Birthdate: Sept 15, 2005
Color: Ruddy
Sire: Glendoveer's Hells Bells
Dam: Glendoveer's Mistress Abi Moon

Hottie is a lovely aby. She is beautiful with a lovely clear coat & the manners of a proper lady - until she finds a toy she really likes & then she is the huntress! Hottie is quick to make friends with new cats & kittens, she especially likes having kittens about to play with.

Hottie retired in June 2009 & has gone to her forever home where she will be much loved & treated like a member of the family. We will miss Hottie but we are very happy for her!

Azrael

Registered name: CH Abydom Azrael of Hopscotch
Birthdate: Nov 6, 2007
Color: Ruddy
Sire: Glendoveer's Hells Bells
Dam: CH Glendoveer Special Efects of Abydom
We are delighted to have Azrael join us! She is a lovely girl with a beautiful head: large expressive eyes & large nicely set ears. She has grown up to be quite elegant. She is really full of beans & always on the move & into everything. When she is not too busy playing she is a real sweetheart & loves attention. Azrael seems to be always happy.

Azrael retired in June 2009. She is staying here as a pet & we will show her now & again in the alter class. She loves to sit on my lap & cuddle in bed & I will cherish our special bond.

In Aug 2009, I took 2 of Azrael's kittens (dad is Loki) to a cat show in Langley, BC. Penny the kitten competed in the kitten class & did very well, getting 6 of 12 possible finals. She really really enjoyed it & was a favorite among everyone at the show. Penny & her sister competed as a unit in a special litter competition & together they placed 2nd of 10 litters. It was really something to see all of those kittens!!! We are very proud of Penny & her sister. Good job Azrael & Loki! You guys made some really spectacular kittens with outstanding temperments. Penny will be going to my good friend Deborah in Toronto to contribute to her breeding program, but most importantly she will be very much loved there & a very special kitty to her new mom.

Daisy

Registered name: Ruddicat's Little Miss Daisy
Birthdate: Nov 19, 2002
Color: Ruddy
Sire: Murteza's Jambo Serengeti of Ruddicat
Dam: Ruddicat's Devlynne
Daisy was retired Nov 2008. She was not our first aby but she was our first cat we showed & bred. She has given us many beautiful babies over the 5 years of her breeding career. Daisy has been an exceptionally devoted mother & a great companion. She has gone to her retirement home where she is well spoiled & treated like a princess. Thank you Daisy.

Flyer

Registered name: CH Hopscotch On The Fly
Birthdate: Feb 26, 2005
Color: Ruddy
Sire: Murteza Prince of Hopscotch
Dam: Ruddicat's High Score of Hopscotch

Flyer is a lovely girl, both in temperment and appearance. Flyer is quite the lap cat, whether we are sitting on the couch or lying in bed she has to be there snuggled up to me. When she's not keeping me warm she is busy playing. Not only is Flyer a lovely pet & a wonderful mom but she is also a very nice show cat & we always enjoy taking her out to shows. The photo on the right was taken at the CFofBC cat show held Mar 9-11, 2007. Doesn't Flyer look happy to be the center of attention? She knows she's gorgeous!

Flyer received an award for the 2006-2007 show season!

She achieved the 3rd best ruddy Abyssinian cat in the Northwest Region! We are very happy that our girl has received this award. Flyer is the first cat of our breeding that we have kept which makes this award mean even more. We always new she was a very beautiful & very special girl!

Flyer has been retired from our breeding program. She has produced some beautiful babies, a few of which have found homes with well respected breeders, and so we have decided that the time has come for Flyer to be spayed - she has made some nice contributions to the breed & she gets to retire early. She may go out to the occasional show but mostly she will just be my companion, and we will both enjoy this immensely!
