Since 1993 Helen O'Toole has provided Architectural Design and Planning services to both urban and rural British Columbia. Project experience has ranged from office buildings, retail and residential, pubs and restaurants to banks, museums, cultural centres, health and community buildings.

Practicing architecture for several years in Europe before coming to Canada in 1986 lends the principal of this firm a sensibility towards heritage and design. More recently, designing for many First Nation communities has lent increased awareness of the juxtaposition of Structure versus Land.

Helen O'Toole has a degree in Architecture from Trinity University Dublin and a Diploma in Architectural Technology together with over 25 years of experience in Architecture, Planning and interior design. Helen is a member of the British Columbia Institute of Architects, the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and is licensed to practice architecture in BC, the State of Vermont and the European Union. Helen has also taught design to architectural students of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Syllabus program.

Hot Architecture works with a complete design team contingent of all engineering disciplines as well as land surveyors,
landscape design and cost estimating companies.
This firm specialises in accurate cost control and producing high quality buildings on time and on budget. A full project list and references are available by request.
