Jason's a 3rd year medical clinical clerk/intern at UBC. With his busy schedule in medical school, Jason only managed to do a few races last season. Jason doesn’t like to admit it, but he’s a roadie most of the time but really a mountain biker at heart. He would mountain bike for fun more often if time would permit. Not only that, but 1998 was his first season back after not racing for several years. He began the season in Senior Beginner and Category 5, and by August he was in Senior Sport and Category 3! Jason's best result in 1998 was a second place finish in the 65km point to point Test of Metal. In 1999, you can expect Jason to upgrade into Senior Expert after one or two races in the early season. (Done! -Brian.)

Squamish- "It has relatively untouched wilderness with miles of trails."

Have fun and stay healthy. Get plenty of racing done. Advance to Pro.

Lots of salt, a little pepper, a pinch of oregano and basil, a clove of garlic, and some homemade tortellini. Sometimes a dry Bordeaux. (How this constitutes 'training' I don't know, but it seems to work pretty damn well for him! -Brian)
