The photographs in the Mushroom Gallery are examples of my one-of-a-kind handmade mushroom art. I developed this art-form while I was stationed on an isolated island off the coast of British Columbia in 1988. Each "mushroom" is made of solid Pine, and is set in a wooden base. Every finished piece possesses a natural realism and appears to have grown in the base it's in. When placed in a natural context, it's hard to tell them from the real thing. They are so convincing, many times people ask me "What was used to preserve the mushrooms?"
The 3D Image Gallery offers miscellaneous images, and examples of my latest carvings. These are hand carved from wood. I like to think of them as "knot heads".
The 2D Gallery exhibits unique images found in cross-sections of wood (some enhancement), and other miscellaneous items of interest.
