Our Customers Project Page:
February 9th 07:
Um, I couldn't believe it was already a year and a half since I last updated this website. Well I know some customers have been saying that the shop is always open, but that time flew. Accordingly there will be a revision to the shops hours. Monday and tuesdays are a bit slower as people get back into the weekly grind. So the doors will be locked for a couple days now. Don't fret as the phone will still be on and email requests will still get your orders in.
The store shelves are now full of the latest kits and many tastey tid bits from years past. Special orders are also going strong. Place your order now and the kit will be on its way here soon!

The stock is increasing again with several new kits. Hobbycraft's long awaited 1/48 Tutor is out now. This kit is sure to attract aftermarket bits and parts, but is buildable just the same out of the box.
A few new Hasegawa kits are floating around the shelves too. The Warhawk and short nosed Hien are popular. Dragon has also been pumping out the 1/72 armour in both kit and prebuilt form.
Our special ordering is progressing well. If your looking for a specific item get in touch!

September 24th 04:
The last couple weeks have been hectic. A Contest Holiday out in Victoria BC was well enjoyed. I didn't take too much out there, as the trip was done via WestJet. Packing the CF-18 was a task and a half, but it survived intact. It won a gold in its class. I met with several customers and good friends while out there. Good show boys, we'll be back!
A few new suppliers have been sought out and if you find something available on either of the HANNANTS or MODELIMEX websites let us know and we'll put in the order. Although we take every effort to track down special ordered items, we have found that the success rate for some items has varied.
Due to several recent glitches the following terms and conditions are going to be implemented:
- We will endeavor to find a timely source for "special order" items.
- Once a source has been located, we will give an approximate delivery time. This is entirely based upon the suppliers inventory levels.
- The customer has the option of accepting the wait period, or declining prior to us placing the order with our supplier.
- Once the order is confirmed, a deposit will be required. This will vary from 50-70% of the MSRP.
- This deposit will remain refundable up until the product has been shipped from our supplier.
September 10th 04:
It's been a while since we updated this page, so it will be a big update.
Well the last couple weeks have been hectic getting back into the routine of working for someone else.
The construction season locally has been wet and cool this year, so projects have gone longer and in busy spurts.
Hopefully as fall sets in everyone will settle back into the model building mood.
The shops hours are now set as 5:30 to 7:00 Monday - Friday, while the weekend schedule remains the same. The shop can be opened during the day time.
If you come down, as long as the accountant next door is in, he can open up for your shopping pleasure.
Once again contest season is in full swing. We will be attending the 3rd Annual Alberta AFV Modeller Show here in Calgary, and are planning to make the
voyage out to Victoria for the Island Open XI. We're looking forward to meeting old friends once again!
Speaking of old friends, we had a distinguished guest last month. Mr. Steve Bamford - Curator of The Aircraft Resource Center

Thanks to Bill Bulek for taking the picture. A good time was had meeting with him. Coinsidentally, these guys are also my support staff!
If you drop by, they are able to answer your modelling questions!
There has been an influx of people looking for the JF Models F-18 wingfold (as seen below). We are currently out of stock
and the manufacture is no longer making the set.
We have a variety of previously read books and magazines for sale, and have been consigning kits of all kinds. If you looking for some older

I have found a regular day job!, and as such will soon be revising the store hours. Although our doors may be closed during the daytime, those wishing to make a purchase will be able to have the store opened briefly. Calling ahead will allow us to still provide you with service.
The new hours will fluxuate over the next few weeks, but an evening schedual is planned. Weekend service will remain uninterupted.
Our special ordering for wanted kits and accessories will continue. Drop us an email or phone message with your list.

Well the local contest is over for another year! It was good to see so many old friends come by, as well as many new visitors to the shop. Alot of our older kits and decals were cleared out to make room for more new kits. Consignment models have also increased, if your into sci-fi we've got some goodies for you.
Items at Meteor Productions are being special ordered on a regular basis. Bring us a list of their goods and we'll bring em in for ya!
Are you into model rockets? We now have a basic assortment, and can bring in many others within a couple days.
Got a youngster that is interested in building model kits? Check in with us, as we plan to offer day camps during the summer for those 16 and under. They will spend several hours learning how to build, cleanup, paint, decal and finish a model that they get to take home afterwards.
This is what a combination of aftermarket sets can do to the Hasegawa F-18. Flight Decs decals, Black Box Cockpit, JF Models wingfold, and some other bits are all sold at the shop.
