Description of My Work |

The following extract is taken from Franz X. Hoeller's
lecture held at
the German Organisation of Glass Techniques in Erfurt,
23.9.2000
"The starting point of an object by Anja Isphording
is the apparent turning to nature without wanting
to reproduce it. Thus she manages to come very close
to the idea of Paul Cezanne's creations wherein an
ideal of " Harmony parallel to nature " is captured.
On the one hand her works awaken the impression of
intimacy and identity, on the other they withdraw
from a clear biological definition.

So it's up to the observer and his fantasy to appreciate
thevessels as pure unpretentiousness.
Therefore (her) works make an especially interesting
contribution to modern glass. They are neither loud
nor colorful, even a poster like effect is foreign
to them. On the contrary their strength lies in the
self assertion and a pause in the rushing of time."
