The Process

Lost wax casting

A wax model is imbedded in a plaster/silica mix, then the wax is melted out and replaced with glass frits.

The mould is placed in a kiln and after the firing and annealing, which can take a few days up to a few weeks, the mould material is broken away and the casting can be cold worked.

Cutting

A treatment of the glass surface with differently dressed stone- iron- diamond or wooden wheels. The surface can stay matt or can be polished.
