I have been making pottery full-time since 1987. I am still fascinated with the endless possibilities of clay. Currently I create in low-fire clay that allows bright, vibrant colours. I sell these pieces under the studio name of J.A.K. Be Nimble. This pottery is highly decorated, yet very functional. I paint mainly flowers, but occasionally branch out into roosters and fish. My signed pieces are made of stoneware which is a higher fired clay. This type of clay gives a more subtle depth of colour. All my glazes are food-safe and lead-free.
