Another Landmark Goes
History of the Hanna House, formerly known as the Westwood House, on Comox Road, now being demolished, dates back to 1892-93 when McRae Brothers built it for Mrs. Fanny Westwood, grandmother of Hon, Earle C. Westwood, B.C. Minister of recreation and conservation. Granny Westwood died in 1897 and her son Novello Westwood, and later the Ben Westwoods were occupants. The property was purchased by Frank Hanna from Westwood Estates. Fifty-two inches of snow fell during the winter the house was built.
