As per information kindly provided by Carrol Spurgeon:
Glen Milton Smith and his wife Lorraine Muriel Thornton operated this hotel until 1961. The owners were Glen's Aunt and Uncle, George Edward Peters and Lillian Marguerite Lowe. When George Peters sold this hotel, he purchased the Nelson Hotel, and Glen and Lorraine moved to Nelson, BC to operate the hotel there.
