Mares - Visa

We have leased Visa (Orame-Riverman) for the season.  She is in foal to Balou du Rouet for a June 2007 foal.  Visa is a beautiful black KWPN mare with good movement and enormous talent for jumping.  Her sire is Orame is the new mount for Grand Prix rider Kris Kappler.  Orame’s sire and both grand sires jumped internationally and are cornerstones of jumper breeding. His dam the ‘elite’ mare Iramee has the same bloodlines as the famous mare Retina Z, as well as other famous relatives from that lineage such as: Robin Z, Rinetou Z, Jalisco, Galoubet and Renate la Silla.

Orame became Champion of the Stallion Selection in Den Bosch at the age of 3 and Champion of the Stallion Test with high marks for the basic gaits and the jumping sub-divisions: 7½, 7, 8, 7, 8, 8, 9, 8½. He is the first stallion that has become the Champion in the Stallion Selection and in the Stallion Test! In his report, Orame was said to be very talented as a dressage horse as well as a show jumper and that he jumped with scope, good technique, a lot of power, and is very careful. In the stallion competition he placed very high several times and ended as the Vice Champion.

At the age of four, Orame received 2nd place in the finals; and at the age of five, he was at the finals again. At the age of six, he became Champion of the Stallion Competition. He competed very successfully at the highest International level with his rider J.Vrieling. He won the Nation’s Cup of Falsterbo and was 3rd in the Nation’s Cup of Poznan and Linz, Bronze Medal in the Final of the Sires of the World Grand Prix in Lanaken. He was 4th in Grand Prix at The Hague, won Grand Prix of Roggel, 5th Grand Prix of Zwolle, 5th in Masters in Monaco, 8th in Grand Prix Chantilly, 8th in Grand Prix Leeuwarden, 9th Grand Prix of Royan, won a 1.50m class in Zuidlaren and won the Six Bar in Nantes. He is now being ridden by US Grand Prix rider Kris Kappler!

Dam, Nikola, is by the Holstein stallion Riverman standing at Hilltop Farm. Riverman was hailed as Grand Champion of Devon in 1995, and his bloodlines include some of the most successful bloodlines in international sport today.  Riverman's athleticism has defining qualities that set him apart from many stallions. His clearly suspended and elevated movement has tremendous fluidity and is naturally supple. His powerful gaits are generated from an active hind end that moves with a quality of flexion and engagement that is not often found. He naturally offers the collected movements required in FEI dressage and easily takes flight in the extended movements or over jumps. His athleticism and a beautiful "type" are what he consistently offers to his mares. You can readily pick a Riverman out in a crowd. On top of the strong sport influences she gets from her warmblood ancestry, her broodmare sire, Macho Hombre, is the sire of the internationally ranked eventer, Cameo.  Nikola's mother, Luck is Hard Work xx,  has produced six Premium foals to date, and earned two (conformation and production) of the three stars with the ISR/Oldenburg award program.

"The consistent results of Riverman offspring in the breeding, jumping, dressage, three-day, and most recently, even the driving worlds have simply astounded us. Riverman passes on his charm, poise, and athleticism and the results show it. He has made an international name for himself across disciplines that is far more than fashion. We are honored to be a part of that." --Scott Hassler
