When you show up for your first appointment, our hygienists will:

• ask you if you have any specific concerns about your mouth

• assist the dentist in reviewing your health history

• assist the dentist in providing you with an examination

• take x-ray photos (for detecting tooth decay or gum disease)

• clean tartar away from your teeth & gums

• evaluate and assess your gum tissue

• polish plaque & stains away from your teeth

• apply fissure sealants to seal out decay (if recommended)

• provide you with a protective fluoride treatment

• show you the latest techniques in oral hygiene
