Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, your dentist may have recommended its replacement with implant therapy. Of all dental prostheses, the implant most closely resembles the natural tooth in the areas of function and esthetics. The implant, normally constructed of titanium, is surgically inserted into the jaw bone. The jaw bone then heals and integrates the titanium implant.

After a few months, the implant becomes fully integrated with the jaw bone. It essentially serves as a "root" to which a crown, bridge or denture can be attached. With your new implant, you can bite into & enjoy just about any food you wish. Unlike conventional dentures or bridges, implants do not limit you to the kinds of foods you can eat. Implants are, by far, superior esthetically and functionally since they most closely mimic your original dentition.
