Lots of things are happening. We've signed up about 60 members in the
FYI – I had a call from a Sales
Representative at Telus to check on my account and
offer me different packages. In
conversation with him, he told me that apparently, the concession is now grandfathered
I would lose the concession if I upgraded to a different plan. Read on for an update from Rick Fleming - This
information is for TWU members who retired before summer of 2005. I have
learned that these members may be entitled to receive 40% discount on all their
Telus services and not just the 50% off of the line
charge. In order to find out if you are eligible for this you have to call Telus Benefits at 1-866-899-8999. In order to get this you
have to give up your “K” concession so it’s up to each person to check this
out, if it works for you go for it.
Please pass this on to all retirees and good luck.

2011 at the Colombo Hall Italian Cultural Centre, another successful event by
the organizers

On January 19
2012 Josephine Bruno, retiree from TELUS Operator Service in Kamloops was
awarded the TELUS Legends Award. She was nominated for the award by the
Kamloops TELUS Community Ambassador executive committee. Among the criteria
that must be met to receive the award is:
Being consistent
and visible in exhibiting TELUS leadership values, demonstrating resilience and
unwavering leadership in the face of considerable challenges, inspiring fellow
team members, and
Embracing our
community investment philosophy-we give where we live-by serving the community.
Jo demonstrates this in many ways one of them being the “Pink Ribbon Ball” that
is held for the past 14 years. The Ball started out by raising $4000 the first
year to $100,000 this year.
A luncheon was
given where Jo and her friends/family and some of the TELUS Community Ambassadors
attended.
Among the recipients
that have received this award in the Kamloops area are Debbie Cockell and Allan
Yelland, our congratulations goes out to all.
