Alada XI is a beautiful revised triple registered grey Pure Spanish mare who was imported from Spain.  Alada has wonderful, big, straight movement with lots of suspension....living up to her name which means 'winged' in Spanish.

Alada has been a mom for most of her adulthood but she did compete at the 2000 IALHA Nationals as a yearling and won a Gold Medal Movement award up against two year olds.

Alada is a combination of Carthusian/Bocado/ Terry and Yeguada Militar blood.  The result is a classically Spanish and baroque mare with exquisite movement and a functional predisposition.

Alada's sire is the bay stallion, Favorito XXXII, who was bred by Salvador Delgado Lara, and is a heavily bred Yeguada Militar stallion.  Favorito is by Aleman, a Jenson son (by the reknowned stallion, Agente (Maluso)), and out of a Juglar daughter whose sire is also Maluso.

Favorito's dam, Caracola VI,  brings  Carthusian/Bocado/Terry lines through her grandsires  Hacendoso IV and Bizarro IV.

Cenicienta, Alada's dam, was also bred by Salvador Delgado Lara and is also a mare of Carthusian/Bocado/ Terry lines. She was
owned and used as a broodmare by the great Miguel Ángel de Cárdenas in his breeding program.

Cenicienta is also the dam of many champions in Mexico, Spain, and the US.  Islamico II, a Qualified stallion owned by Yeguada San Francisco, is a son of Cenicienta and was the Champion of Mexico in 2000, 2004, and 2006.  He was also the Functionality Champion of Mexico in 2005.

Islamico II

Mariposa XVI, a daughter of Cenicienta, is owned by Sherry Denham Martin in Texas and was the 2003 IALHA National Reserve Champion Pure Spanish Senior Mare and the National Champion Pure Spanish Senior Mare in 2004.

Latina VII, a full sister to Alada, owned by Susan Punch-Randall in California, is one of only three mares in North America that currently hold the title of 'Calificado' (Qualified).

Cenicienta's sire, Hidalgo, is also the sire of Toronja, the dam of the Candau stallion, Toronjo III, who was champion of Costa Rica.

Dalia II, Cenicienta's dam, was bred by Manuel Martinez Boloix whose horses are known for superb  dressage movement and are presently in great demand in Spain.

Clearly, the blood of Cenicienta and Favorito XXXII is valuable and proven via the line-up of champions they each have produced, both together, and separately.

Alada is open for 2010 but only because I don't breed all my mares every year and it was her turn to have time off.  She is a great mom, gets pregnant easily, foals and nurses like a pro....no problems at all.  She is easy to catch and halter and LOVES attention.

These bloodlines are rare and prized in North America so this is a great opportunity for  breeders out there.  The reason I am selling her is because she is a boss mare and I already have one of those and that I would like to add a stallion to my program.

Finding Alada a good home is top priority.  Email me for more info.
