May 2008 Grey Pure Spanish Filly
Eligible for Registration with ANCCE, IALHA, & PRE Mundial

Melosa NHF, is a graying bay filly with a very sane and willing personality.  She has a full blaze and two hind socks.  She is super sweet and will do anything for a good curry/brush!

Melosa has fantastic bloodlines, great conformation, and a very willing temperament.  Melosa's sire is the beautiful and talented DOMINANTE XXIX, owned by Snowy Peaks Ranch in Park City, Utah.  Dominante was the first "qualified" stallion to be imported to North America - one of a select few Spanish Stallions that has been approved by the Tribunal in Spain to achieve the additional status afforded to the exceptional individuals of the breed. He was approved in Sabadell in 2004.  This 16.2 hand dark bay stallion exhibits extraordinary conformation, great physical beauty, and shows great potential for dressage. He was bred by Yeguada Villa Mazzara and has Escalera and Yeguada Militar breeding on both sides of his pedigree.  Dominante was the 2005 National Champion PRE stallion at Celebration and is continuing to compete in open dressage in California and is in training for Grand Prix.

Dominante XXIX

Melosa's dam, Alada XI, is a lovely revised grey Pure Spanish mare who was imported from Spain by Sherry Denham Martin.  Alada has wonderful, big, straight movement with lots of suspension. She is a fabulous mother and passes on a very trusting, gentle temperament to her foals. Alada competed at the 2000 IALHA Nationals as a yearling and won the Gold Medal Movement award up against two year olds. Alada is a sister to Islamico II (who was a multiple Champion of Mexico), she is half sister to Mariposa XVI (who was the 2003 IALHA Nationals in the Pure Spanish Senior Mare class and the National Champion Pure Spanish Senior Mare in 2004), and Alada is full sister to Latina VII, 1 of only 3 Qualified mares in North America!

July 2008 Dark Bay Pure Spanish Colt
Eligible for Registration with IALHA & PRE Mundial

Fuego is a large dark bay colt born on July 2, 2008.  He has a blaze and 3 white socks.  He's tall, has excellent bone, rounded croup, and a very nice, big shoulder.   He really enjoys people and is always the first one to greet you.

Fuego has the bloodlines to be a successful performance horse.  His sire, Feudal VIII, is a 16.2hh black PRE imported and revised stallion.  This stallion carries the "Guardiola" lineage on his sire side, and with that blood all the strength and power of many generations of these extremely functional horses.  On his dam's side there is a good amount of "Bocado" blood, which accounts for Feudal's extreme beauty. Feudal has an impressive show record with many successes.

Fuego's dam, Falina CH, has the blood of several outstanding breeders in her veins...Cardenas, Escalera, Terry, Paco Lazo, and Yeguada Militar.   Falina is by the black PRE stallion, Guarapo, who was imported from Mexico to the US as a weanling.  Guarapo's sire, Genil, was a pure Bocado/Terry stallion bred by Miguel Cardenas in Spain.  He was a Champion of Champions in both Spain and Mexico.

Falina's dam Catalina Real, is by Canastero IX, a stallion bred by Francisco Lazo Diaz, and is half brother to the infamous Cordobes XX.  Catalina's dam, Espanola de la Parra, was bred by The Parra's of San Antonio, Texas, as was Espanola's sire, Boticario.  Boticario was the 1991 IALHA National Champion Halter Stallion, was a multiple time movement champion, was trained to High-School dressage, and was featured in the book by Robert Vavra entitled "Horses of the Sun".
