The Internet plays a relatively large part of my life. I treat it as an extension to the room I am sitting in. My involvement and interests on the web are shown on this page.

Because I work in the computer field for a living and am connected to the Internet almost all the time, I can easily be contacted online using Instant Messaging (IM) software. I have been IMing since 1997 and have online identities with each of the IM tools shown here.
While I can and sometimes do run these IMs individually, I usually use
Gaim.
Gaim emulates all the IM software products shown here and allows me to use all
my online identities simultaneously under one application.
Because I have my IM IDs online virtually all the time, I use the status indicator to tell others when and how I can be messaged online.
There are a lot of communities out on the net where one can post information about themselves. Social networking sites, communities involved in common interests, etc. Of course, I have signed up for a whole boatload of them over the years. I am somewhat loathe to repost information that I have published here already, so I often don't bother (especially if the site allows for links to personal pages).
Here is a list of some of the ones I am most active with:
FaceBook - The more professional/functional of the popular social networking sites. I refuse to have anything to do with MySpace (have you SEEN some of the gawdy profiles on there.
Yahoo 360Live
Microsoft Live
StickAm - An absolutely awesome site for video conferencing. Unfortunately, it tends to be filled with teeny-boppers and pervs.
The following are a few websites that are of interest to me. Infer what you want about me from the sites I find interesting. Please should any of these links not work anymore.
| Online Bridge | I frequently play bridge on the Internet. The following websites are for the ones I use. |
| Okbridge | The oldest and probably most popular way to play online. Look for me as LorNic. |
| Bridge Base | A increasingly popular site in the online bridge arena due to its one huge advantage, its FREE. Look for me as LorNic. |
| Canadiana | Sites of interests for and about hosers. |
| Linda Bleeck's Oh Canada! | A well organized website with a hodge-podge of information about Canada and Canadians. |
| National Library of Canada | Taxpayer's money hard at work at this Government run website. |
| Molson - I Am | This website was spawned from the popularity of the Molson Breweries "I Am Canadian" adveritising campaign. |
| Miscellaneous | Assorted this, that and the other things. |

| IMDB (The Internet Movie Database) | A great website for movie/TV buffs. |
